Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia Ouyang Yujing Attends Embassy-hosted Symposium Commemorating the Birth Centenary of Comrade Jiang Zemin
On August 25, Chinese Embassy in Malaysia held a symposium commemorating the birth centenary of Comrade Jiang Zemin. Present were President of Malaysia-China Friendship Association (PPMC), Dato’ Abdul Majid Ahmad Khan; President of Belt and Road Initiative Caucus for Asia Pacific (BRICAP) and Former Minister of Transport of Malaysia, Tan Sri Ong Tee Keat; local community representatives, as well as media practitioners from China and Malaysia, among others.

Ambassador Ouyang said, President Xi Jinping delivered an important speech at the gathering commemorating the birth centenary of Comrade Jiang Zemin, highly commending Comrade Jiang Zemin for his immortal contributions to the Party and the people, and calling for an in-depth learning of Comrade Jiang Zemin’s noble character, so as to continuously advance the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Comrade Jiang Zemin had visited Malaysia three times, which effectively propelled the development of China-Malaysia relations. China stands ready to work with Malaysia to seize new historical opportunities and jointly build a high-level strategic China-Malaysia community with a shared future.
Representatives from Malaysia said that Mr. Jiang Zemin was an outstanding Chinese leader and an important driver of Malaysia-China relations. Malaysia stands ready to work with China to build on past achievements in forging ahead towards a brighter shared future.
