China Places Two New Satellites into Orbit with Commercial Rocket Launch
The rocket blasted off from the Dongfeng Commercial Space Innovation Pilot Zone in northwestern China at 4:23 p.m. local time (0823 GMT), marking another mission in the country's expanding commercial space program.
According to Chinese authorities, the payload consisted of two satellites, Spacesail DTC 01 and China Mobile 02. Both spacecraft were successfully inserted into their designated orbit following launch.
Reports said the mission utilized the Zhuque-2E Y6 carrier rocket, a member of the Zhuque rocket family developed to support commercial satellite deployment and other space-related operations.
The successful launch adds to China's ongoing efforts to expand its satellite infrastructure and strengthen its commercial space capabilities through domestically developed launch systems.
