37 China Cabinet Officials Swear Constitutional Oath Under Premier Li

(MENAFN) Thirty-seven senior Chinese government officials representing 33 departments and units under the State Council—China's highest executive body—formally pledged allegiance to the national Constitution at a solemn ceremony held Tuesday.

Premier Li Qiang presided over the swearing-in and addressed the newly appointed leadership cohort in a keynote speech, setting a tone of accountability and heightened responsibility.

The Premier pressed officials to meet elevated benchmarks across three fronts: deeper political commitment, stronger administrative competence and stricter personal discipline—imperatives he tied directly to the weight of their new leadership roles and expanded mandates.

Li underscored the obligation of senior officials to champion the rule of law and defend the Constitution's authority, calling on them to maintain unwavering vigilance and enforce rigorous self-discipline in order to safeguard their political integrity.

Referencing an ongoing Party-wide initiative centered on cultivating the correct approach to performance and governance, Li urged the officials to anchor their work in concrete, measurable results. He called on them to execute every assignment with thoroughness and precision, and to confront entrenched contradictions and complex systemic challenges head-on—sustaining their efforts with persistence until demonstrable outcomes are secured.
